The U.S. cities with the highest concentration of coffee shops also are more likely to be home to businesses that have adopted environmentally friendly practices, according to a study from marketing ser vices and analytics provider Infogroup, Omaha, Neb.

Using its own databases to lay business data over consumer data, Infogroup analyzed 728 cities with a population of more than 50,000 to determine their love for coffee shops. The study found that Western cities have the highest concentration, making up eight out of the top 10 cities. Six in the top 10 cities are located in Washington.

Infogroup also employed data from its Green Adopters for businesses, which identifies business-to-business prospects that are most likely to adopt ecofriendly measures.
