* Much ink has been spilled about the Defense Department's cybersecurity needs and potential vulnerabilities. But the Coast Guard is also concerned about protecting systems as it recapitalizes its fleet, noted Rear Adm. (sel.) Douglas Schofield, the service's director of acquisition programs and program executive officer.

"Cybersecurity... is important to all of us not just from a design perspective but also from a producibility perspective," he said at the Sea-Air-Space conference.
