Clinton health plan flops in Indiana.

Judging from the results of this month's fax-back survey, the president and first lady have a lot of selling to do if their health-care reform plan is to pass.

Those who like the Clinton proposals are nearly equally divided on the question of whether their costs will increase. But all say they believe the quality will either improve or stay the same. Supporters seem tired of waiting -- their comments include "Let's get on with it," "Get rid of partisan politics and get something done!" and "Let's go for it! ASAP!" "Good health care should be available for all Americans," says one. "Once a small company develops a pre-existing condition, it is S.O.L.," says another. The proponents all are from smaller firms of five to 21 people.

Those who oppose the Clinton plan in our survey are from firms of all sizes. The word "socialism" appears on a number of responses. "Business can't take more government bureaucracy," writes one.
