After teaching at a private school in Boulder for a decade, Diana Mercer launched her own art school for kids, Clementine Art Studio, in 2003. "As a teacher, I became interested in the importance of art in the development process," said Mercer of the studio's origins. Her verdict? "The de-emphasis of the process in favor of the product isn't good for children."
