CLF IS WORKING WITH THE NEW Hampshire Port Authority to clean up stormwater pollution from its Portsmouth marine terminal. Runoff from the site--where massive quantities of scrap metal and road salt are stored--carries high levels of lead and likely a host of other toxic metals and contaminants into the Piscataqua River, a critical part of the Great Bay estuary. Polluted stormwater runoff is a chronic threat to the highly sensitive Great Bay.
