Clarification.

A News/Trends item in the January/February 2006 California CPA ("California Limits Faxing as of Jan. 1") said that a new California law "prohibits any person or organization from sending unsolicited faxes without the prior consent of the recipient ..."

The sentence should have read "prohibits any person or organization from sending unsolicited advertising faxes without the prior consent of the recipient."

While CPA firms are, for the most part, immune to the law, if your firm is advertising a client...
