City seeks input on neighborhood park.

The city of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department has developed a survey to help determine how residents currently use Kiwanis Park at 2 Old Augusta Road, and to gather input on the types of playground amenities they would like to see added to the park.

The existing Kiwanis Park playground structure is more than 10 years old and is slated for replacement in 2020 as part of the Neighborhood Parks Program initiative, according to a news release. The city launched the initiative in 2018, investing $3.6 million to make targeted improvements in neighborhood parks. In the first cycle, the city upgraded 24 park spaces and replaced 11 playgrounds to address a backlog of needs.
