A recent Deloitte survey of CIOs has uncovered a shift in business priorities from 'business performance* to 'customers' with 57 percent of CIOs choosing 'customers' as their top priority, compared to only 4S percent last year.

When it comes to using information technology to deliver on that customer focus, however, only 45 percent stated their information technology organization is involved in delivering customer experience through IT capabilities, and 28 percent said their IT organizations are below average in their digital skill sets.
