A SWEET SIDE EFFECT

Is chocolate becoming a health food? First, researchers found it didn't cause acne. Now, studies show that after eating chocolate, test subjects had higher levels of anti-oxidants, which are thought to decrease the risk of heart disease and stroke. The studies were largely financed by Mars Inc., the candy company, and the Chocolate Manufacturers Association. Still, chocolate lovers are hopeful. Maybe it's time for a fresh look at cheese pizza and buttered popcorn, too. --Jane Fritsch
