Chinese bedding firm opening Winnsboro plant.
Chinese bedding manufacturer Milly is opening its new $50 million manufacturing facility in Winnsboro this week. The plant will employ 250 people.
Milly USA, based in Knoxville, Tenn., is owned by China-based Healthcare Co. Ltd. The state-of-the-art facility will manufacture and distribute mattresses, pillows and mattress toppers to retail customers throughout North America, according to a news release announcing the factory's grand opening.
The Winnsboro plant is the first U.S. manufacturing facility for Milly, which also has manufacturing plants in China, Thailand and Serbia. Milly products are sold in 70 countries.
