FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT EDITION of Zagat's Salt Lake City/Denver restaurant survey, Papillon Cafe in Cherry Creek, featuring "great French fare with an Asian twist," ranked as Colorado's most popular eatery.

The 2002 edition of the survey priced an average restaurant meal in Denver at $27.31, an 8 percent increase over 2000, but still 27 cents below the national average. Despite the moderate prices, Denver and Salt Lake City residents dined out only 2.9 times per week, below the national average of 3.2 times per week.
