Charleston-based Asian fusion restaurant to open Forest Acres location.

A Charleston-based chain of Asian fusion restaurants will open its sixth location in Forest Acres later this year, according to reports.

CO Restaurant, part of the Collected Hospitality group, will be moving to Trenholm Plaza, occupying the space vacated by Italian eatery Rosso Trattoria in 2019.

CO Restaurant has five other locations: King Street in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, two in Charlotte and one in Raleigh.

According to the CO website, the chain's extensive menu of Asian fusion dishes has been developed by Chef Masanori Sheraishi, who joined the group in 2014.

The menu includes a wide variety of dishes ranging from noodles and pho to sushi and banh mi. The restaurant also offers vegan and gluten free menu options.

CO is known for its interesting dcor and choice of locations, ranging from a historic building in Charleston to a mixed-use development in Charlotte.
