States that have adopted bans on smoking in all indoor workplaces have seen a large drop in bingo parlors. Many say that smoking and bingo go hand in hand. Minnesota adopted a ban in October 2007 and charity gambling dropped nearly 13 percent in the last quarter of the year. Washington used to have 100 bingo halls that raised money for charity.
