As a group, the rules discussed in this chapter provide disciplinary authority to deal with practically any kind of litigation abuse. Although some of them, such as Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) 4.2 through 4.4, reach well beyond the litigation context, we have chosen to discuss them here because they usually arise in the context of litigation.
