§9.4COMPARISON WITH FEDERAL RULE

FED. R. CIV. P. 9 was promulgated in 1937. FED. R. CIV. P. 9(h) was added in 1966 to address admiralty claims. FED. R. CIV. P. 9(h) was amended in 1968 to preserve the right to interlocutory appeal and in 2006 to conform to the changed title of the Supplemental Rules. Technical amendments to the rule were made in 1987 and in 1997. FED. R. CIV. P. 9 was stylistically amended in 2007 as part of the general restyling of the federal civil rules to make them more easily understood.
