§7.1 INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

This chapter is divided into four main segments: (1) the creation of easements; (2) the extent of an easement, including a discussion of the scope and extent of use and the different and permissible variations and changes in use; (3) the transfer of easements; and (4) the duration and termination of easements, including a discussion of voluntary terminations, such as release or abandonment, and involuntary terminations, such as foreclosure. This chapter also includes a discussion of licenses and compares them to easements.
