§64.1INTRODUCTION

Litigants have statutory and common-law rights that, where applicable, permit them to seize an opponent's property as collateral to secure an anticipated judgment. CR 64 confirms that these so-called "provisional" remedies, such as attachment, garnishment, replevin, and sequestration, are available in actions proceeding under the civil rules.
