PETER A. BJORK claims to have been born in a one-room cabin in the backwoods of Northern Wisconsin, where he lived until going off to college. As a youngster, he says he walked 3 miles to school, often in two feet of snow in sub-zero weather, with little more than newspaper for footwear, uphill, both ways. His first memory of title work was practicing metes and bounds descriptions by writing with charcoal on the back of a shovel.
