A Word on Citation Style
Unlike the prior edition of the Washington Civil Procedure Deskbook, the third edition follows THE BLUEBOOK: A UNIFORM SYSTEM OF CITATION (19th ed. 2010) (Oct. 19, 2011 printing) for citation to the federal rules and some other authorities. Thus, this edition uses "FED. R. CIV. P." rather than "FRCP" for citation to the federal rules.
