§54.4 COMPARISON WITH FEDERAL RULE
FED. R. CIV P. 54(a) provides: "'Judgment' as used in these rules includes a decree and any order from which an appeal lies. Ajudgment should not include recitals of pleadings, a master's report, or a record of prior proceedings."
FED. R. CIV P. 54(a) differs in language but not in substantive effect from CR 54(a). The reference to an appealable order in the first sentence of FED. R. CIV P. 54(a) embraces both a "final decision" from which an appeal is permitted under 28 U.S.C. §1291 and any appealable interlocutory order. See 10 Charles A. Wright, Arthur R. Miller & Mary K.
