§5.9 SAMPLE GRANTOR/GRANTEE CLAUSES

This list contains accepted generic forms of grantor/grantee clauses that may be used in the following vesting or conveyancing situations that were covered earlier in this chapter:

(1)	Title acquired in the name of Mary Roe, who subsequently changed her name to Mary Smith: "Mary Smith, who acquired title as Mary Roe" or "Mary Smith, formerly known as Mary Roe"
(2)	Title acquired in the name of XYZ Corporation, which subsequently merged into ABC Corporation "ABC Corporation, successor in interest to XYZ Corporation"
(3)	Title acquired by John Smith, a married man on July 5, 1963: "John Smith and Mary Smith, husband and wife now and on July 5, 1963, the date of acquisition of title"
(4)	Title acquired by John Doe, a single man who is now deceased: "Heir(s) and devisee(s) of John Doe, deceased"
(5)	Title acquired by ABC Corporation, which was subsequently dissolved: "John Doe, Mary Roe, and James Green, all
