§5.1 INTRODUCTION
CR 5 sets forth the procedure for service and filing of pleadings and other papers after a lawsuit has been commenced. It does not apply to the initial filing and service of a summons and complaint. This chapter also addresses specific rules related to facsimile and electronic transmission. See Chapter 4.(Rule 4. Process) for discussion of related service issues, and Chapter 6. (Rule 6. Time) for timing of service and filing.
