SANDRA ORIHUELA's practice focuses on corporate international transactions, with an emphasis on complex mergers and acquisitions. Ms Orihuela has worked on cross border projects involving Asia, Europe, Latin America, Canada, and the United States. She has been actively involved at each stage of these international projects, from negotiating project acquisitions, to overseeing day to day legal matters, assisting with legal issues of construction and development of large mining projects, to operation agreements and divestitures. Her expertise includes, mining and natural resources, environmental, foreign investment protection, international regulatory matters, strategic alliances, joint ventures, M&As, privatizations and international dispute resolution. She is a member of the: American Bar Association; Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Lima; and International Mining Professionals Society. She has been an attorney with Holme Roberts & Owen LLP (Denver and London) and Baker & McKenzie (Florida, USA), and a Senior Exploration Attorney with Placer Dome Inc (Chile). She is the Founder of Orihuela Abogados | Attorneys at Law, a boutique international corporate law firm based in Lima, Peru. She is a Member of the Advisory Board of Genesis Biosugars Ltd, a UK based entity involved in the renewable chemicals and biofuels derived from sugar.
