30-4 The Ruling

30-4:1 Written

The Court's ruling should be in writing, state whether it is intended to be final or partial.

30-4:2 Final Judgment

If the Court grants summary judgment, disposing of all claims and parties, the order granting summary judgment is final order and appealable.¹⁰¹

If the Court grants relief which disposes of less than all claims and all parties, the case continues to trial on the remaining issues or the party can nonsuit the remaining claims or parties, converting the interlocutory judgment to a final judgment.
