CR 29 allows the parties, by written stipulation, to modify any of the procedural rules of discovery unless the court orders otherwise. In the absence of a written stipulation, CRs 26-35 govern discovery. Parties should take note that CR 29 requires a written stipulation, unlike CR 2A, which also allows for enforcement of other stipulations "made and assented to in open court on the record, or entered in the minutes ...."
