§ 22.6 • JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS

On or before January 10 of each year, the chiefjustice of the supreme court must designate or re-designate a ground water judge for each designated ground water basin. The designated ground water judge must hear all cases concerning designated ground water that are filed in each judicial district. The supreme court can also appoint temporary designated ground water judges or additional water judges from each judicial district if necessary.⁵⁴
