AMALIA SÁENZ is the head of the Oil & Gas practice of Brons & Salas Law Firm. While she resided in a Muslim country (Turkmenistan, Central Asia, former Soviet Union), between 1992 and 1995, she was in charge of the Legal Affairs Department of the Joint Ventures Yashlar (with oil and gas exploration operations in the Karakum Desert) and Keimir (oil production operation on the shore of the Caspian Sea), both operations led by Bridas Energy International Ltd. Since her return to Argentina in 1999, Amalia has continued working as a lawyer for law firm and has advised on and negotiated a great number of transactions for the acquisition of mining, energy and oil & gas assets and related business affairs to Canadian, Chinese, Russian and American companies. She has participated in and has negotiated many of the contracts of the industry. Since 2001, Amalia has been strongly involved in rendering advice on gas regulations, negotiating major gas contracts with main Argentine gas producers.
