§14.18 STANDARD, EXTENDED, AFFIRMATIVE, AND "EXPANDED" COVERAGES

A title insurance policy includes numerous affirmative coverages in the insuring provisions of the jacket. These coverages are, however, subject to the exclusions from coverage and to the conditions, also set forth on the jacket, and further subject to the exceptions that are set forth in Schedule B.

It can be somewhat misleading to merely refer to a "standard ALTA owner's policy" because it is not clear whether the intent is to refer to an ALTA policy with standard coverage, or to refer to the current ALTA form of policy typically issued in a transaction. More accurate references would be to either a "[standard] [extended] coverage ALTA Owner's Policy" or an "ALTA Owner's Policy with [standard] [extended] coverage."
