§10.1INTRODUCTION

The goal of CR 10 is to promote clarity in pleadings by establishing uniform guidelines for formatting, identification of parties, and incorporation of exhibits. Although some subsections of the rule are mandatory, others are simply recommendations, and deviations are accepted when appropriate.

CR 10 must be read together with other rules that pertain to pleadings and motions—CR 7-9, 11-16, and GR 14—and with corresponding local rules promulgated by many counties within the state.
