§ 19.5 CONCLUSION

The Washington Supreme Court's adoption of the Limited Practice Officer Rules of Professional Conduct (the LPORPC), effective January 1, 2009, set forth the minimum standard of ethical conduct required of LPOs in rendering services under APR 12. Although a primary purpose of adopting the LPORPC was to codify and clarify existing standards of care, the new LPORPC also "raise the bar" by reemphasizing the importance of ethical standards and professionalism in LPO/client relationships.
