Chapel news: chapel services provide inspiration, hope for university community and beyond.

Year after year, the Hayworth Chapel open its doors to students and members of the community, providing them with a welcoming and inspiring environment for worship. Between the sermons of Dr. Hal Warlick, Dean of the Chapel, special guest speakers and musical performers, and giving back to those in need, the Chapel has earned a respected reputation and become an important part of the local community.

Each week, Chapel services are packed with students, faculty, staff and members of the community who come together for a time of Christian fellowship.

"Dr. Warlick and the Board of Stewards work hard to make sure the Chapel is a place where all students can fee! comfortable," says Board of Stewards member and rising senior Lindsey Queener. "Not everyone shares the same view of religion, but through humor and sharing words of comfort and inspiration, the Chapel is welcoming to all people and all backgrounds."

Throughout the worship services the Chapel is able to collect offerings to be used to reach out and help the local community. Offerings from the fall semester totaled more than $8,200. Through the generosity of those who attended services, the Chapel was able to provide toys and clothes for 150 needy children at Christmas through the High Point Salvation Army Angef Tree Program as well as...
