During the National Correctional Officers' and Employees' Week in May, facilities across the U.S. celebrated their staff with plenty of food, games, awards and gatherings. Everyone was pleased to participate in this honorary week and enjoy the rewards for their dedication and labor.

This year, the Tennessee Department of Correction celebrated their staff throughout the state with events such as a night-of-painting fundraiser called "Canvas Therapy," basketball games and golf competitions, an awards banquet for corrections professionals, and luncheons throughout the week, which featured BBQ and hot dogs, cinnamon rolls and fresh-baked pies, and even snow cones during shift changes.
