What a great article! (Jeff Rundles, "Let's do less!" January). I wondered if anyone would mention GM's fatalistic attitude. I teach customer service at a small casino near Durango. Although we are in the middle of nowhere and have two competing casinos in the area, people love to be our guests because we practice "extending the service." One of the ripple effects I have seen, regarding doing less, is that many people, young and old, try to get away with not carrying out their part of the work-ethic bargain.
