Northern Air Cargo adds aircraft charter firm, renames logistics arm.

Northern Air Cargo acquired Reliant Logistics, an aircraft charter brokerage firm based in Ypsilanti, Mich. Reliant Logistics focuses on domestic and international aircraft charters for the automotive, technology, corporate and entertainment sectors. The company will continue operations in Michigan, but will be managed as a division of Anchorage-based Northern Air Cargo. The Alaska company bought Reliant Logistics to offer on-demand charter services throughout the Lower 48, Canada and Mexico.
