Canal Insurance sponsors appreciation day for law enforcement.

Canal Insurance will sponsor the sixth annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in Greenville.

The event was organized to give the community an opportunity to express thanks to law enforcement personnel in Greenville County, including those who work for the cities, according to a news release.

This year's appreciation day is scheduled for May 8.

"Canal insurance is proud to be a LEAD Greenville sponsor, as this event is dedicated to honoring the exemplary service our communities receive on a daily basis," Canal CEO and President Paul Brocklebank said in the news release. "We are excited to help dedicate a week to express gratitude for law enforcement and the integral role these individuals play in our society. We are especially thankful that we have an opportunity to intentionally honor the men and women who serve the highway patrol, as they ensure that Canal's insureds are protected on the road."
