The following report was submitted by Sherrie Ann Pollock, TEI Vice President for Canadian Affairs.

Tax Executives Institute's Annual Canadian Conference was held in Gatineau, Quebec, on May 3-6, 2009. While attendance was somewhat less than in prior years owing to the economic downturn, a significant number of participants were new to the conference, and we look forward to improved attendance in the future. The technical content of the program was exceptional thanks to the hard work of our National Committee Chairs, Rod Bergen (Income Tax) and Phil Riley (Commodity Tax). Government representation as both speakers and invited guests to the annual reception was significant.
