SOME FIVE HUNDRED students from universities around the Americas will meet March 27-31 in Edmonton, Canada, to practice their skills at international policy-making. This will be the twentieth regular session of the Model OAS General Assembly, an academic event that helps students become familiar with key inter-American issues.

The event is designed to simulate the highest OAS decision-making body, the General Assembly. The students, acting as diplomats who represent the OAS member countries and permanent observer nations, debate regional policies and adopt resolutions.
