The staff of the Campus Chronicle has proven that hard work and dedication pay in a big way. The newspaper was honored with a national award in the American Scholastic Press Association's annual newspaper competition.

High Point University was one of only 12 schools in the nation with an enrollment of 2,500 or more to receive the first place with special merit award - the highest honor given to student newspapers by the organization. The award is based on content coverage, page design, general plan, art, editing and creativity.
