Attorneys generals in at least eight states--California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington--are suing R.J. Reynolds for violating the terms of the landmark 1998 settlement between 46 states and the tobacco industry, according to Associated Press. The settlement included a ban on the industry pitching to minors, and the agreement includes a provision against using cartoons in advertisements.
