Camden bank expands to Greenville market.

A Camden-based bank named South Carolina's Best Small Bank by Newsweek will soon establish a full-service retail foothold in the Greenville market.

First Palmetto Bank recently hired Upstate-based bankers Austin Goforth, Zach Freeman and William Johnston to serve as market leaders responsible for the location's development and strategic growth.

"We are pleased to continue our expansion in Greenville," First Palmetto President Samuel R. Small Jr. said in a news release. "William, Austin and Zach are tremendously talented market leaders that will provide significant and meaningful expansion of our company. Their experiences and professionalism make them an ideal fit, and I have no doubt they will be successful in bringing our brand of community banking to their local contacts."

The team will bring experience from about 50 years of combined experience as community bankers in the Greenville area to the table as the bank begins to offer consumer and commercial loan services from its current loan production office on 15 Halton Green Way.

"I'm confident in the leadership at First Palmetto and look forward to building a strong market presence that benefits the community and expands the bank," Goforth said in the news release.
