CalCPA scholarship program receives national honor.

CalCPA earned a membership in the American Society of Association Executives' 2002 honor roll--a national awards competition recognizing associations for innovation, citizenship and community service.
"[The CalCPA scholarship] program is a perfect example of how associations play a vital role in helping the nation adapt to complex and changing times," says Michael Olsen, ASAE president and CEO.
Chapter events and direct member contributions resulted in $130,000 in chapter scholarship donations last year. And, a newly added dues statement check-off for contributions has generated more than $60,000 for CalCPA's statewide scholarship fund.
