CalCPA Comments on Proposed CPE Revisions.
CalCPA submitted a letter of support with added recommendations to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and the AICPA regarding recent proposed revisions to the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs. CalCPA recommended two approaches pertaining to Diversity/Bias and Mental Health, citing sources such as the Journal of Accountancy. The following suggestions were given to be added to the proposed revisions.
* Within the minimum 20 hours required in a two-year renewal period, that 2 CPE hours be required each in Diversity/Bias and Mental Health; or
