C. If the Interview Goes Badly

Although a good number of USCIS officers are helpful and interested in seeing you become a citizen, you might run into one whose manner is rude or hostile. First, remember that it's probably not personal. Some USCIS officers become jaded and cynical after years of investigating fraudulent citizenship claims.
