Buying justice.

Ruth Conniff was right on the mark ("Justice for Sale," June issue). I believe that state supreme court justices should not be elected by the people. The recent supreme court race here in Wisconsin made me sick to my stomach.

The problem with politics is that most of the money spent on campaigns is for advertising. Most Americans get their information from TV and barely read anything. Attack ads and commercials have way too much power over the American people, and the networks are laughing all the way to the bank.
