NexVue Systems of Stamford, Conn., is rolling out its BIOVue platform for middle-market companies, having signed up about a dozen firms through January. BIOVue (BIO is short for Business Intelligence Optimized) builds on existing technology, especially Microsoft's SQL server systems, "to deliver value almost immediately" to mid-sized firms, according to NexVue President Daniel Schwartz.

The new solution delivers "single-source, enterprise-wide analytics that combine your Microsoft Business Solutions Data with other critical enterprise and industry information," the company noted in an announcement. The system enables a "cost-effective reporting system that is highly adoptable across the entire organization," the company adds.

Specifically, BIO[TM] harvests data from as many as hundreds of tables in accounting and operational systems, creating a unified data warehouse designed to provide the company...
