Your story about Montrose (Stephen Titus, "Who Owns Colorado," April) was very perceptive in highlighting the tremendous quality-of-life potential and the city's commitment to growth. The commercial development will make Montrose a retailing center. Currently the growth seems to focus on retirement living. The only fly in the ointment, as pointed out in your article, is the lack of good jobs which will enhance long-term growth and expand Montrose into a well-rounded community.
