Molly is a young teen who survived a terrifying experience in Skeleton Man when her parents were kidnapped and she alone saved them. In this sequel, Molly and her parents are recovering from that ordeal until they travel to a secluded retreat center in upstate New York. There for her father's professional conference, she and her mother admit to being slightly spooked. They get help from an unexpected source when a young woman on the staff recognizes their discomfort and agrees to help them flush out the danger, if there is danger lurking. The closing event is a Day of the Dead celebration, drawing on the Mexican October holiday. The party proves to be an opportunity for the Skeleton Man to revenge the failure of his kidnapping plot in the first book...
