Bon Secours opens clinic for Legacy Early College.

Bon Secours St. Francis Health System will open a clinic Wednesday to serve the staff and students of Legacy Early College.

The primary care clinic, called Legacy Early College Health Center, will be staffed by a nurse practitioner and a medical assistant, according to a news release. The clinic is near the school at 1010 Woodside Ave. in Greenville. The clinic will give teachers, students and other staff members an affordable and convenient treatment option for everyday illness and injury, from allergic reactions to sprains and strains, as well as lab testing needs, the release said.

"We are grateful to the staff of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System for their hard work in expanding the services we can offer," William Brown, founder and board chairman for Legacy Early College, said in the release. "At Legacy Early College, we strive for excellence in everything we do. Along with our vision that every scholar gets to and through college, we can now offer free, high-quality medical care to all our staff and scholars. This is a big step forward for our community."

The long-term goal for the facility is to expand health services to the community surrounding the school.
