Bon Secours Mercy Health accelerates living wage compensation.

The parent organization of Bon Secours St. Francis is giving raises.

Bon Secours Mercy Health has a new compensation model "designed to enable its associates and their families to enjoy a dignified livelihood while working and in retirement," according to a news release.

The pay increases will be phased in from now to 2022, bringing the organization's minimum wage to $15 per hour, adjusted for cost of living variances, in all of the health system's U.S. markets, the release said.

About 14% of the system's 60,000 workers will be affected by the pay increasea, the release said. Exceptions to this change include union workers whose wages are negotiated as part of their collective bargaining agreements, which represents approximately 7% of the health system's national work force, according to the release.
