Bomb squads get rugged computers.

The FBI's bomb squads will be operating new PCs equipped with high-speed wireless communications. The Bomb Scene Response Reporting Kits are being distributed to nationally accredited bomb squads throughout the United States.

The Defense Group, Inc. of Alexandria, Va., developed the kits under a $14 million contract with the FBI. The computers are GoBook Max laptops, made by Itronix Corporation, of Spokane, Wash.
